RULES & ELIGIBILITY
WHAT YOUR TEAM NEEDS TO PARTICIPATE. Built around flexibility, affordability and responsible communication.
01 CLUB CONTACT
Coordinate dates, ensure games are completed within their week, send confirmed details to the Commissioner, communicate reliably, and submit home-game results.
02 HOME GAME FACILITY
Each team hosts 6 regular-season home games. Double gyms are preferred; a suitable single gym may be used by agreement. Teams may use practice gym time. NEED A GYM? League-assisted booking is Facility Rental Cost + $25 Commissioner Fee, paid only by the home team.
03 HOME GAME SETUP
Provide benches for both teams, a chair for each Head Coach, a scoreboard table with 3 chairs, a functional scoreboard, and appropriate spectator seating.
04 SUMMIT LEAGUE SIGNAGE
Official courtside signage is mandatory at every home game. ONE-TIME SIGNAGE FEE: AMOUNT TO BE CONFIRMED.
05 MULTIPLE-GAME HOSTING
Organizations are encouraged to schedule games back-to-back to maximize gym time and create efficient assignments for officials.
06 REFEREES & SCOREKEEPERS
All officials are commissioned exclusively by The Summit League. Teams may not arrange their own officials or scorekeepers.
07 ADMISSION & CONCESSIONS
Admission fees are not permitted at regular-season games. Home organizations may operate concessions and keep the revenue.
08 COMPETITIVE PLACEMENT
Teams must accurately represent their level. The league may move a team during the regular season to maintain competitive balance.
09 SCHEDULING & FLEXIBILITY
Club Contacts choose the DAY • TIME • LOCATION within the assigned week. Deadlines: October—Sept 30; November—Oct 31; December—Nov 30; January—Dec 31; February—Jan 31. The March playoff schedule is provided by the end of February.
